Benefit Health System’s Mobile Mammogram Van Hits the Road
Cedar Rapids, IA - Benefit Health System, the leading provider of healthcare services in Cedar Rapids, IA, is excited to unveil a new program to help increase breast health awareness in Eastern Iowa. Benefit Health's new Mobile Mammogram Van provides free screenings to underserved women in Benefit Health's community, including Linn, Johnson, Benton, Delaware and Buchanan Counties.
"The Mobile Mammogram Van is serving an important service in our community," says Eric Dillon, President and CEO of the health system. "Benefit Health is proud to support projects that benefit women in the region and offer medical care to deserving individuals."
The Mammogram Van was funded by the Cedar Rapids Breast Cancer Awareness grant. The $50,000 annual grant allows Benefit Health System to ensure women, specifically those aged 40-64 and those under 40 with a family history of breast cancer, receive the education and screening they wouldn't otherwise receive.
